Thomas/Boyd has been retained to promote the publicity tied to the $300 million restoration of Ellis Island. The Chairman of the Save Ellis Island National Leadership Committee is Bill Bradley and Honorary Co-Chairs are Governor Jon Corzine and Governor George E. Pataki. Publicity efforts include gaining the support and endorsement of The Star-Ledger newspaper. Thomas/Boyd’s publicity outreach for the grand opening of the first building to be restored as part of this project and the first building to be open on the New Jersey portion of the Island in over 50 years, the historic Ferry Building, resulted in Associated Press coverage generating story placements throughout the world. Additional coverage included: The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe, Forbes Magazine, ABC News, FOX News and numerous other print and broadcast media outlets throughout the nation.
