New Jersey Korean War Memorial
Thomas/Boyd Communications handled the logistics, media relations and development of marketing communications materials associated with the dedication of the Korean War Memorial in Atlantic City. More than 2,500 people, including local and state officials and veterans’ organizations, attended the event.
The program, which we developed, featured New Jersey Medal of Honor Recipient, Hector Cafferata, Jr. as the keynote speaker. Then Governor Whitman and Korean Ambassador, Consul General Hur Ri-hoon, Senate President Donald T. DiFrancesco and Atlantic City Mayor James Whelan were also part of the program. More than nine television stations covered the event as well as numerous radio and print outlets. Print coverage appeared on the front page of the New Jersey section of The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Star-Ledger. Front-page articles appeared on the cover of The Burlington County Times, The Press of Atlantic City and The Courier Post.
