Extreme
Makeover: Home Edition
We were proud to have been part of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’s
Pennsauken build this summer. J.S.
Hovnanian & Sons donated their services to build a beautiful home
for Victor Marrero, a single father of five boys living in a rundown
Camden row home. Garo Hovnanian, director of marketing for J.S. Hovnanian & Sons,
reached out to us for help in managing the media coverage surrounding
the build. We couldn’t have been happier to donate our time spreading
the word of the Hovnanians’ generosity and to be part of the “build
team,” welcoming the Marrero Family to their new home with a resounding, “MOVE
THAT BUS!”
We also
provided media relations and joined our client, allRisk Property
Damage
Experts in the renovations to Urban Promise’s
Eastside Building in Camden, creating a bright, welcoming place
for after school activities and Victor Marrero’s Single
Fathers of Camden program. Team allRisk spearheaded the effort,
donating time, services and materials. Tune
in to watch—This Sunday, November 11 @ 8pm on ABC TV!

Crisis
Communications - Tips
1.
Have a crisis communications plan
in place. 2.
Go public as quickly as possible, but only with what
you know, not
what you think. If you don’t the media will get their
information through other means.
3.
Stay cool – don’t
be driven by emotion – be driven by
facts.
4.
Get top management to the crisis site.
5.
Inform your internal audiences.
6.
Gather information as quickly as possible and provide
frequent updates.
Have a media trained
spokesperson conduct
regular briefings.
7.
Establish a website to inform audiences about the
status of the situation. Place news
releases, fact
sheets and
statements on the site. |
