With the wide array
of issues surrounding healthcare today, from topical discussions about
aging baby boomers to the increasing cost of healthcare to controversies
surrounding stem cell research, effective communications is highly valued
in the healthcare field.
At Thomas/Boyd Communications
we support our healthcare clients
with an expertise that encompasses every
facet of this highly specialized
field. From the “bread
and butter” communications tools of news releases, feature stories
and newsletters that bring human interest stories to the forefront to working
closely with physicians and scientists to translate highly technical concepts
into laymen’s terms, TBC is an integral member of our healthcare clients’ marketing
communications teams.
CORIELL INSTITUTE FOR
MEDICAL RESEARCH

Launch of the Personalized Medicine Project The CPMC seeks to discover presently unknown genes that elevate a person’s risk of cancer and other complex diseases, to understand why people respond differently to treatments, and to explore how the resulting information can best be viewed and utilized by participants and their physicians in a secure, user-friendly, web-based system. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about their risks for medically actionable conditions, including cancer, heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol, and use this information to take preventative measures for their improved health. There is no cost to participants. |
