Public Relations Account Manager (hybrid)

TBC seeks a highly motivated Account Manager with strong written and verbal communication skills and a proven track record of driving successful media relations and digital communications campaigns and managing multiple accounts. The applicant should thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven work environment, be a strategic thinker and be willing to do whatever it takes to see campaigns and project work to completion. Qualifications and Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communications or related field
  • Minimum five years of related experience, PR agency experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in crafting and implementing strategic PR/communications campaigns to achieve measurable results
  • Exceptional writing skills – ability to create concise and compelling content across various platforms to target different audiences; strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Media relations – demonstrated success in cultivating relationships with media, drafting media documents, identifying potential media opportunities/ideas, pitching and placing stories
  • Project management experience – ability to juggle various projects with a keen eye for detail, driving progress, tracking results and meeting deadlines
  • Social media/digital – exceptional experience creating original content and working in Canva to create graphics
  • Self-starter, entrepreneurial spirit – comfortable taking the initiative and assisting with development of junior staff
  • Proficiency in the use of content management systems, social media platforms and e-newsletter and PowerPoint creation
  • Experience in video production, digital marketing and/or websites is also a plus
  • Public policy experience is a plus

This position reports to and works with senior staff members and includes direct client interaction. The applicant should be a go-getter who enjoys a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment, and be willing to do whatever it takes to move client goals and objectives forward.   • Social media/digital – experience creating original copy/content and graphics; comfortable scheduling posts on various platforms; experience working in Canva to create graphics (static and animated) and videos

  • Solid writing skills – comfortable writing various types of content such as news releases, media advisories, blog posts and web copy
  • Media relations – experience developing media lists and conducting media outreach; interest in monitoring client industry trends to identify opportunities and create story ideas
  • Proficiency in the use of content management systems, social media platforms and e-newsletter and PowerPoint creation

Qualifications and Responsibilities of a TBC Intern

  • College student majoring in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field
  • Able to travel to our office in Moorestown, NJ
  • Junior or Senior preferred

Responsibilities Include:

  • Compiling specialized media lists/reports (media database software training will be provided)
  • Assisting with writing news releases, calendar listings, media alerts, etc.
  • Conducting internet research for clients
  • Participating in strategic brainstorming sessions and internal meetings for clients
  • Assisting with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media platforms

Applicants are Expected to be Proficient In:

  • Microsoft Word
  • Email applications
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Powerpoint
  • Social Media Platforms
