New Jersey Turnpike Authority

TBC leads public outreach for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority’s Interchange 1 to 4 Capacity Enhancements Program, a significant, multi-year infrastructure initiative that will add an additional lane in each direction over the southern 36.5 miles of the Turnpike.

Designed to improve safety, mobility and operational needs along the Corridor, the Program also includes improvements at Interchanges 1, 2, 3 and 4 and the replacement or rehabilitation of 56 of the 66 bridges over or along the Turnpike.

While other sections of the Turnpike have received improvements over the years, this section of the Turnpike – which spans from the southern terminus in Carneys Point in Salem County to Mount Laurel in Burlington County – has remained in its original configuration from 1951, despite significant growth in population and traffic in the region.

Under the guidance of AECOM, the international infrastructure consulting firm serving as the Program Manager, TBC works closely with the Program Team to ensure consistent outreach to elected officials, members of the public and other community stakeholders across the 18 municipalities and four counties in the Program area. TBC handles all outreach to public officials and other stakeholders, creates and develops communications materials, including  fact sheets and newsletters, maintains the Program’s virtual room and manages planning and execution  of external events, including public hearings.
