Dean Paranicas Retires After Four-Decade Career in the Life Sciences Industry

The HealthCare Institute of New Jersey (HINJ) recently announced the retirement of President and CEO Dean Paranicas effective March 1, 2024. HINJ is the trade association for the leading research-based biopharmaceutical and medical technology companies in New Jersey.

Paranicas served as President and CEO for 13 years after a three-decade career in various roles at BD – spending more than four decades in the life sciences industry. Paranicas is a co-chair of We Work for Health – New Jersey, is a member of the board at New Jersey Innovation Institute and serves on the advisory board of Biotechnology High School in Freehold. He also is a former chair of the Rutgers board of trustees, where he is now a trustee emeritus.
