The leaders of the five Feeding America food banks in New Jersey – including TBC clients Fulfill and Mercer Street Friends – recently came together to author a joint Op-Ed for NJ Spotlight News on the 2025 budget reconciliation legislation proposed by the House Agriculture Committee, currently making its way through Congress. The leaders asked elected officials to reject the bill, saying it would lead to historic and devastating cuts to the nation’s first line of defense against food insecurity – the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
