Summer learning loss – also known as the “summer slide” – can create significant challenges for students when they return to school in the fall. Mercer Street Friends’ Summer Bridge program, part of its Community Schools Initiative, helps students across Trenton and Mercer County stay engaged during the summer months through academic instruction, enrichment activities and access to nutritious meals – ensuring students return to school in the fall ready to learn.
