Office will create STEM career paths for residents and students from New Jersey Institute of Technology
Ørsted officially opened their North American Digital Operations headquarters in Newark, New Jersey on October 13, 2022, with the goal of helping to build a next-generation workforce with the residents in the greater Newark area and network of students from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Ørsted’s partnership with the New Jersey Institute of Technology includes a 10-year, $1.5 million agreement which began in 2021 with the creation of new scholarship and career development opportunities in the field of offshore wind and science, technology, engineering and mathematics for engineering and computer science undergraduate students.
The North American Digital Operations headquarters will house STEM career positions that will support the development of the Ocean Wind 1 and Ocean Wind 2 offshore wind projects off the coast of New Jersey.
